Glamorous New Jersey Wedding by Turn Loose the Art

Floral Design: Flowerful Events

We can't get enough of Francine and Jon's modern wedding celebration - brimming with all sorts of glitz and glam. The vibrant purple color palette definitely set the tone for a fabulous and fun affair. Everything from the bouquet and cupcakes, to the shoes and floral arrangements were so chic and complementary of each other.

Home, Sweet Home.

I guess this would best describe our new design studio. Maybe it’s because we “live” here? There’s 9,000 sq.ft. of color, texture and beauty; we are like kids in a candy store, playing with new trends, building custom ceremony/reception set ups, experimenting with ambiance up lighting and drapery, designing new linens and table décor gives us that “sugar high”. We spend here at least 10 hours a day in and every day is completely different, so time flies. But in the end– when our clients walk in to our showroom and we see the expression on their faces – we know the time and energy spent was well worth it.

Just imagine- you don’t have to waste your time looking through hundreds of pictures to find what you want. Instead, you have the chance to play with colorful flowers, linens, different shapes and sizes vases, custom build and unique table stands to create your own centerpieces and personalize endless choices of wedding décor items. There is no need to imagine how your wedding/event will look, because you can physically see it all. From personal flowers all the way through room décor and visual effects, it’s all here awaiting your arrival. Believe me when I tell you that we’ve saved a lot precious time for our clients and have turned the initial meeting something fun.

Just the other day we had a couple visit our studio and the bride had some ideas of how she envisioned her wedding. Without changing her original concept and while still honoring her vision, she has been able to add and change a few things that enhanced her décor ideas and even brought her fiancé into game. Yes, it is true –guys are not as interested in being involved in the décor, as you are- my dear brides, so let’s help them to be a part of this experience. And if you can’t get them attentive in the flowers and décor, don’t worry – we have a big screen projector so they can watch the following really cool stuff: low fog for the first dance, intelligent lighting and special effects. They can spend time with our production department and work shop - as we all know "the difference between the men and the boys, is the price of their toys". And If THAT doesn’t grab their attention, I will play a video of a shark feeding arena which will drag them into a fascinating underwater world. Don’t worry ladies, as a former scuba diving instructor, I guarantee they will be safe with me.

And if you have kids, bring them along! Our seven year old daughter is often with us and would love to play with them while we have our meeting. The showroom is a very laid back, family-oriented atmosphere. We even have a professional espresso coffee machine (which is actually a part of our event production ), so come and cozy up on our modern couch with a cup. We look forward to your visit and we promise you’ll quickly feel as at home as we do.

Red Bank, NJ—As part of an ongoing audience development effort, Two River Theater Company welcomed business owners, community leaders, and current Two River subscribers from Eatontown, Tinton Falls, and Shrewsbury, to a party at the theater on Wednesday, February 9.

Over 130 guests attended a pre‐show party with food and drink by Branches Catering, Inocente Tequila and Triumph Brewing Company, music by George Severini, flowers by Flowerful Events of Shrewsbury and photography by Jenelle Kappe of Tinton Falls. They then attended a performance of A Thousand Clowns, running in Two River’s Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater.

This party is part of a larger audience development and institutional marketing campaign to increase awareness of the professional Red Bank Theater and to grow its audiences. The theater began this process in November 2009, by identifying communities and towns in the surrounding area that were deemed to have a much greater potential for attendance and arts participation. The initiative launched last May in Colts Neck, followed by Freehold in September, and Eatontown, Shrewsbury, and Tinton Falls this month. In addition to hosting receptions for business and community leaders, there has been an increase in advertising in local publications, greater distribution of materials to the area, partnerships with local businesses, special introductory offers to new patrons, and events at the theater and in the community. On average, 80% of the patrons coming to the theater as a result of this campaign are attending for the very first time.

"The gathering of folks from Eatontown, Shrewsbury, and Tinton Falls was a joy for me‐‐first, to say hello to those whom had I long known, and, second, to meet all those lovely people I had never met before. That's what we want, of course, new friends, new audience, new minds to dazzle with our work,” said Bob Rechnitz, Founder and Executive Producer of Two River Theater Company.

“We are thrilled to be seeing such a strong response to this campaign,” said Deeksha Gaur, Director of PR & Marketing. “Two River Theater is a true gem in Monmouth County and we want everyone to know about us. This initiative has really got people talking about the theater in the most wonderful ways and we are having a wonderful experience meeting our new patrons from these communities.”

Under this initiative Two River Theater will be focusing efforts on the Long Branch/West Long Branch area this coming spring. If you or your company would like to reach business and community leaders in this area, consider becoming a sponsor of this campaign. For more information, contact Courtney Perez at cperez@trtc.org or at 732.345.1400 x.1810.

A Look Back Into Our 2010 Weddings....

Alana & Tim were married at the Hyatt Regency Hotel of Jersey City, NJ, the premier wedding destination with dramatic views of the Hudson River and stunning New York skyline.

Flowerful Events was fortunate to produce and be a part of this magnificent wedding celebration. It was an ultimate pleasure to work side by side with such great professionals like Monica from Hyatt Regency, Mark from Elegant Ensembles, Marianne from Cupa Cabana, Jeff from Sound Connection Entertainment, Mark and Judy from Linenstock and Gil from Photography by Gil.

The color scheme that Alana had picked out for her wedding was purple and ivory, which gave us, the designers an opportunity to mix various tones of purple ranging from deep eggplant color sweet peas, pale lavender Ocean Song and Faith roses to French vanilla color Vendelas and white phalaenopsis orchids, all provided by the best Holland flower wholesaler, the Metz Flowers.

The concept of Flowerful Events has always been the same – to take a blank canvas and turn it into a dramatic piece of art. A compete transformation of the room is what we look forward to do. Why? Because there is nothing more rewarding than the look in the eyes of our Bride and Groom when they walk into the room and see their dream come true.

What a week we had…

Born in Europe, I have to say…we love snow…or should I say we loved snow!? Winters in Europe are similar to the one beautiful snow-day that we had a day after Christmas, with one exception - plowing begins the minute snow starts coming down and continues through the night. Businesses and schools stay open and life never stops.

Things are so different here. One day of snow left us “snowed out” for 3 days. Our entire 40 ft. awning collapsed right on top of the railing. It took us 2 ½ hours to drive to work, only to find out that we could not get in!

In order to carry in two truckloads of flowers for Jamie & George’s wedding, we had to climb a ladder as loading docks and ramp were not accessible.

As if that was not enough, Michael felt he needed just another challenge. At 3.30am in the morning of New Year’s Eve, he slipped on ice, fell, and ended up in ER with a severe muscle sprain!

I must say, despite pain, coming back to work straight from ER, and hopping 8 hours on one leg instead of using his crutches, he did an amazing job. The room looked fabulous and in the end of the day – isn’t this all what counts? That day I was really proud of my limping husband!!!

Congratulations Jamie & George!

Jamie and George had their wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Middletown and reception at the English Manor. The wonderful staff of English Manor is always a pleasure to work with.

The most amazing parts of the entire wedding reception besides English Manor’s great food and our Manzanita trees, was the wedding cake – 5ft. tall and just amazingly beautiful cake from Design Cakes! Groom’s cake was hysterically funny – a suitcase with George’s favorite things. Just the look in the guys’ eyes trying to grab a bottle of beer from the suitcase, which to their frustration turned out to be a “chocolate beer bottle”, was worth a million dollars!

Elite Entertainment was fabulous and very entertaining, All Jersey Studios did a great job capturing the entire event on a video and the guests had a blast! Happy New Year and Congratulations again!
